Shelly Boshart Davis Wins Big on Primary Day

ALBANY, Ore. – Last night, Shelly Boshart Davis locked up the Republican nomination for House District 15. As the candidate who is endorsed by retiring Rep. Andy Olson, Boshart Davis will face Democratic nominee, Jerred Taylor and Independent challenger, Cynthia Hyatt in November.

Boshart Davis received 5,498 votes in the not yet certified primary election results. In a year that had a 16-year low voter turnout rate, District 15 Republicans turned out for Shelly at a rate of 37%, beating the statewide numbers by nearly 7%. This show of support sends a message that Oregon is ready for leaders like Shelly.

Boshart Davis released the following statement:

“I am honored to have such strong support behind me. I have enjoyed getting to know voters and getting to know the complex issues of our district. This is the first step in bringing change to Oregon. We have a lot of work still to do in the run up to November, but I am excited to go forward as the Republican nominee for District 15. I look forward to earning support from all people in this district.”
